It’s the perfect venue for major concerts, performances and festivals. As the largest indoor event venue in New Zealand, we’ve got space for up to 10,000 fans on the pitch alone plus seating in the stands. And the incredible transparent roof keeps fans and performers cosy and dry while retaining all the atmosphere of an outdoor show.

It's time to put on a great show

Staging a concert at Forsyth Barr Stadium couldn't be easier. We've got all the front-of-house and behind-the-scenes facilities to accommodate any kind of show, large or small.

Flexible layouts

Stages can be set up either in the East Stand or in front of the North Stand.

For smaller, more intimate concerts we can screen an area off from the main pitch to create a smaller venue, and can even set up tables and chairs for cabaret-style concerts if desired.

No weather worries

Our permanent roof makes setting up a breeze in any weather, and concerts are never rained out. But that's not even the best bit! Because the roof is transparent, day-time shows can still be held under the sunshine and evening concerts are crowned by a glittering blanket of stars. You get all the atmosphere of being outdoors, with the cosy convenience of a roof over your head.

Room for the biggest of shows

The exceptionally high interior roof height (37 metres at the centre) and the sheer size of the main pitch (132 x 81 metres) means there's ample space for huge theatrical productions and shows requiring large amounts of rigging and stage structures.

Generous backstage areas

We treat our guests in style. A venue hirer's suite and event promoter's office are provided, along with various private change rooms, lounges and suites, and dedicated parking areas for mobile back-of-house trailers.

Suppliers at the ready

We've got exclusive professional supplier arrangements covering ticketing, security, catering and cleaning up after the show.

On-site catering

You'll never go hungry here. Public food & beverage outlets and bars are found throughout the North and South Stands. Main kitchen facilities and our on-site catering service operate from the main South Stand.

Merchandising sewn up

Over 30,000 fans means a heck of a lot of t-shirt sales. We've got merchandise outlets in the main South Stand concourse as well as in the North Stand (with street access), with provision for a satellite outlet in the North Stand concourse.
